Day shift Shipping Clerk

Description

The position of shipping clerk consists of preparing documentation for daily shipments, scheduling shipments, and completing data entry into customer portals

Tasks

• Generating pick lists for daily shipments in our ERP software
• Prepare documents such as bills of lading, packing lists and shipping orders to route product. Determine shipping methods for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Schedule truck shipments daily. This includes entering data into customer logistic based portals.
• Complete data entry into customer portals on a timely basis. This includes but is not limited to advanced shipping notices, shipping labels and associated manifests.
• Work with production manager, customer service manager and shipping personnel to maintain on-time shipments to customers.

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Good time management skills Experience in a similar position is a plus

• Receiving as needed

OTHER

Due to some customer scheduling requirements the clerk will be needed to process shipments in the evening. This task can be done remotely.
